RentMitr – Terms & Conditions

General

You agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Terms of Use (“Terms of Use”) with respect to https://www.rentmitr.com owned and operated by RentMitr Services Pvt. Ltd (“rentmitr”/”Website”/”Company”). These Terms of Use constitute a legally binding agreement between us and you and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties and understandings with respect to the Website, the content, products or services provided by or through the Website. This Terms of Use may be amended from time to time by us without specific notice to you. The latest Terms of Use will be posted on the Website, and you should review this Terms of Use prior to using the Website at each instance.

Your use of the Website and services are governed by the following Terms of Use as applicable to the Website including the applicable policies which are incorporated herein by way of reference. If you transact on the Website, You shall be subject to the policies that are applicable to the Website for such transactions. By mere use of the Website, You shall be contracting with the Company and these terms and conditions including the policies constitute your binding obligations, with the Company.

For the purpose of these Terms of Use, wherever the context so requires “You” or “User” shall mean any natural or legal person who has agreed to become a subscriber on the Website by providing information on the Website using the computer systems. There is no registration process and Rentmitr allows the User to surf the Website or subscribe without registering on the Website. The term “We”, “Us”, “Our” shall mean the Company.

When you use the Website or send emails or other data, information or communication to us, you agree and understand that you are communicating with us through electronic records and you consent to receive communications via electronic records from Us periodically and as and when required. We may communicate with you by email or by such other mode of communication, electronic or otherwise.

The terms of Use stated herein shall govern the Website and the mobile application of Rentmitr may be governed by a separate Terms of Use.

 

Terms & Conditions – Category Wise

 

Rides

 

  1. Book it via paying the full amount or Partial payment (20%)  to book the products for future dates.
  2. Delivery & Pickup charges(if any) have to be paid online while placing an order.
  3. Refundable Security deposit has to be paid in cash at the time of delivery from where you will pick up the Bike & accessories or hand it over to the delivery person at the time of delivery(If mentioned delivery applicable).
  4. A refundable Security deposit does not include rent. It is a security deposit that takes care of damages, loss or mishandling if any.
  5. The rest amount in case of partial payment will be paid at the time of delivery or pickup only.
  6. We would retain the following documents while Pickup or Delivery:
    1. 1 original ID Proof + 1 utility bill of the same address + 5k Security Deposit (25k in case of superbikes) + Copy of driving license + PDC Cheque of product’s equivalent amount. or
    2. 1 original ID Proof (Passport) + 1 utility bill of the same address + 3k security amount (20k in case of Superbikes) + Copy of driving license.
    3. For Documentation Please refer to our “Documentation and Verification Policy”.
  1.   Rs.1000 will be paid for service above a total of 1000km ride.

Use of Vehicle

 

  1. Only the rentee is permitted to drive the vehicle.
  2. The rentee should have a valid license, be at least 20 years old and must always wear a helmet while riding. For Superbikes age will be at least 22 years.
  3. Rentee is responsible for his insurance; Lessor will not be responsible for any accidental expenses of Rider.
  4. The rentee shall use the bike entirely at his/her own risk and agrees that lessor will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, injury or death as a result of, or leading from the hire of any of the vehicles.
  5. The bike shall be returned to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.
  6. Rentee is responsible for any traffic violations incurred due to your use of a rented vehicle. The owner is not liable for any costs from any such violation You must report such violations to the Owner representative as soon as possible.

Prohibited Uses

 

The use of Owner vehicle under the following conditions is prohibited:

  1. Any speed race or competition, for the purpose of towing, pushing, or propelling any trailer or any other vehicle, prohibited for the primary business purpose of transporting people or operating a taxi service;
  2. By any person who is under the influence of (i) alcohol or (ii) any drug or medication under the effects of which the operation of a vehicle is prohibited or not recommended.
  3. In the carrying out of any crime or any other illegal activity

 

Delivery process

 

  1. Rentee has to be available at the agreed date and time if rentee has opted for delivery, otherwise shipping charges will be retained by the owner as logistics cost and one day rent will be charged as the Product rental value will not be available for any other customers.
  2. Though we do quality checks at our end before delivery/pickup, the rentee is expected to see if there are any damages and report the same to the representative of the owner.
  3. One signed copy of the contract is to be kept by each party. Photos of Rentee will be taken with the Bike delivered for our records.

Pick-up process

 

  1. Pick-up location will be sent to the rentee through email to collect the product.
  2. Rentee has to inform RentMitr 1 day prior to the end of the contract if he wants to extend the contract.
  3. Pick-up date and time will be mutually decided by rentee and owner.
  4. Rentee has to be present at the agreed date and time. Otherwise, the extra logistics charge will be charged. Photos taken at the time of delivery will be matched to ascertain damages if any.

Damage policy

 

  1. The Rentee agrees to pay for any damage to, loss of, or any theft (disappearance) of parts of the bike, regardless of cause or fault. Item damaged beyond repair will be paid for at its Market Price.
  2. The refundable Security deposit will be returned to the rentee as it is if no issues were found at the time of return.
  3. The representative shall check the bike and its parts in order to ascertain any damage to items. Damage shall be defined as follows:
    1. Any damage which existed prior to the handover of the Product and was agreed between the rentee and owner will not be chargeable to the Rentee.
    2. The extent of damage would be ascertained by comparing the quality control document signed by the Rentee and photographs taken on delivery/Pickup.
    3. Tear in seat cover will result in charge towards the replacement of seat cover. Opening up a stitched joint will not be chargeable.
    4. Any variation showing damages, if ascertained as not caused by normal wear and tear, would be charged and would have to be borne by the Rentee.
    5. A damage report (QC report) will be created on the spot and a copy will be handed over to the client

Camera & Lenses

 

  1. Book it via paying the full amount or Partial payment (20%)  to book the products for future dates.

  3. A post-dated cheque equivalent to the market value of the product will be kept as a Security deposit,  from where you will pick up the Camera or accessories or hand it over to the delivery person at the time of delivery(If mentioned delivery applicable).
  4. The security deposit does not include rent. It is a security deposit that takes care of damages, loss or mishandling if any.
  5. The rest amount in case of partial payment will be paid at the time of delivery or pickup only.
  6. We would retain the following documents while Pickup or Delivery:
    1. 1 original ID Proof (Passport or Govt. ID)
    2. Address proof Original (Adhaar card or Voter ID )
    3. If the Rentee is from Other State he/she has to submit the Copy of Rent agreement
    4. Any utility bill of the same address in the name of parents/guardians/landlord.
    5. Post Dated cheque equal to the Market Price of the product.

Use of Product

 

  1. The rentee should be at least 18 years old.
  2. Rentee is responsible for the appropriate use of the Product; Lessor will not be responsible for any accidental expenses.
  3. The rentee shall use the camera at his/her own risk and agrees that lessor will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, damage incurred.
  4. The Product shall be returned to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.

Delivery/Pickup process

 

  1. Rentee has to be available at the agreed date and time if rentee has opted for delivery, otherwise shipping charges will be retained by the owner as logistics cost and one day rent will be charged as the Product will not be available for any other customers.

  6. Photos of Rentee will be taken with the Product delivered/pickup for our records.

  2. The representative shall check the Product and its parts in order to ascertain any damage to items. Damage shall be defined as follows:
    1. Any damage which existed prior to the handover of the Product and was agreed between the rentee and owner will not be chargeable to the Rentee.
    2. The extent of damage would be ascertained by comparing the quality control document signed by the Rentee and photographs taken on delivery/Pickup.
    3. Any variation showing damages, if ascertained as not caused by normal wear and tear, would be charged and would have to be borne by the Rentee.
    4. A damage report (QC report) will be created on the spot and a copy will be handed over to the Rentee.

 

Laptops & Desktops

 

  1. Delivery charges have to be paid online while placing an order.
  2. 1-month rent will be paid as a refundable security deposit, it can be utilized in the last month of your tenure or can be asked for a refund, at the time of booking order.
  3. The security deposit does not include rent. It is a security deposit that takes care of damages, loss or mishandling if any(Post Dated Cheque).
  4. For Documentation Please refer to our “Documentation and Verification Policy”.
  5. Returning the product early than the contract period, the rental amount will be charged for the complete tenure and has to be paid, as we have not taken any bookings according to the tenure itself. 

Use of Products

 

  1. Rentee is responsible for the appropriate use of the Product; Lessor(We) will not be responsible for any accidental damage to the product.
  2. The rentee shall use the Electronic equipment at his/her own risk and agrees that lessor(We) will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, damage incurred.
  3. The Product shall be returned to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.

  3. One month’s deposit will be there and had to be paid at the time of booking online. It can be utilized or asked to refund after the tenure is over.

Gaming Consoles

  1. Delivery & Pickup charges(if any) have to be paid online while placing an order.
  2. The security deposit does not include rent. It is a security deposit that takes care of damages, loss or mishandling if any.
  3. We would retain the following documents while Delivery for Gaming Consoles only :
    1. 1 original ID Proof Original (Passport or Govt. ID)
    2. Address proof Original (Adhaar card or Voter ID )
    3. If the Rentee from Other State he/she has to submit the Copy of Rent agreement
    4. Post Dated cheque equal to Market Price of the product will be kept. (Security Deposit)
    5. An Agreement will be signed with User for agreeing on all terms and conditions in which a copy will be retained by us.

Use of Product

  1. Rentee is responsible for the appropriate use of the Product; We will not be responsible for any accidental damage to the product.
  2. The rentee shall use the Gaming Consoles at his/her own risk and agrees that we will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, damage incurred.
  3. The Product shall be returned back to us in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.
  4. In case of Games found with many scratches or any other damages to the games will deduct the amount from Security Deposit and then returned.

Delivery/Pickup process

  1. Delivery & Pickup charges(if any) have to be paid online while placing an order.
  2. A refundable Security deposit has to be paid online only.
  3. The refundable amount will be transferred after 2-3 days post verifying the product returned.

Use of Products

 

  1. Rentee is responsible for the appropriate use of the Product; Lessor will not be responsible for any accidental expenses.
  2. The rentee shall use the appliances at his/her own risk and agrees that lessor will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, damage incurred.
  3. The Product shall be returned back to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.

  1. Delivery or Pickup charges(if any) have to be paid online while placing an order. Extra charges will be given at the time of delivery according to actual transportation.
  2. The refundable amount will be transferred after 2-3 days post verifying the product returned.

Use of Party Equipments

 

  1. Rentee is responsible for the appropriate use of the Product; Lessor will not be responsible for any accidental expenses.
  2. The rentee shall use the party equipment at his/her own risk and agrees that lessor will not accept any responsibility or be held accountable for any loss, damage incurred.
  3. The Product shall be returned back to the lessor in the same condition in which it was handed over to the rentee.

Documentation and Verification Policy

All prospective customers of RentMitr must comply with the documentation and verification policy. Customers are required to upload the following documents during placing the order for their desired products.

 

EMPLOYED / SALARIED PROFESSIONALS

  • Copy of PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department of India.
  • Permanent Address Proof (DL/UID/Passport/Voter Id)
  • Delivery Address Proof (HR Letter/ Rental Agreement/ Recent Utility Bill)
  • Company id

SELF EMPLOYED PROFESSIONALS

  • Copy of PAN Card issued by the Income Tax Department of India.
  • Permanent Address Proof (DL/UID/Passport/Voter Id)
  • Delivery Address Proof (HR Letter/ Rental Agreement/ Recent Utility Bill)
  • Reference of self-employment

STUDENT/ FREELANCER

  • Authorization letter for entering into a contract to avail of furniture on rent from Kieraya Furnishing Solutions Pvt. Ltd & Power of Attorney, if granted, to its managers, officers or employees.
  • ID and address proof of the authorized signatories duly attested by the company.
  • List of directors with contact numbers
  • Delivery/mailing address proof of the company

TRUST/ CLUB/ ASSOCIATIONS

  • Certificate of Registration.
  • Power of Attorney granted to transact business on its behalf.
  • ID and address proof of the authorized signatories duly attested by the company.
  • Any document listing out the names and addresses of the trustees, beneficiaries, and those holding power of Attorney.
  • Resolution of the managing body of the foundation.
  • Declaration of Trust/Bye-Law of society/Bye-law of Association/Bye-law of the club.
  • Attach the name and address of the founder, Manager/director, and the beneficiaries, telephone/fax number, Telephone bill, Utility bill apart from the above for delivery proof.
  • RentMitr’s address verification executive will be visiting your premises before delivery for a seamless delivery experience.
  • Failure to upload the documents will lead to auto rejection. RentMitr will not entertain orders from customers staying in PGs, Hostels, and Hotels as the same is considered as a temporary requirement.
  • RentMitr reserves the right to cancel any order as per internal policies subject to documentation / Field verification.
  • RentMitr might request additional documents on a case to case basis. The same will be notified via email and SMS.
